The Friends of Waterlow Park are exchanging gardening tools for musical instruments this summer and organising a series of eight Pop-Up Proms in Waterlow Park. The open-air musical promenade concerts will take place on Sundays starting at 3 p.m. and last about an hour. The performers will be playing from the North Pavilion near the statue of Sir Sydney Waterlow.
There are musical styles to appeal to all tastes: classical, Caribbean, jazz, Latin, African, soul and folk. Each set will feature professional musicians, several of whom live locally. The concerts are free to all. The Pop-Up Proms 2021 are funded by Friends of Waterlow Park with additional grants from Camden Community Festival Fund.
