Catch the Funny (Trom)Bones quartet on 31 August – free music at 2.30!
The Funny Bones formed their group while studying at the Royal Academy of Music with the aim of spreading their love of this music as widely as possible. In addition to the traditional trombone repertoire, they play arrangements of a diverse range of pieces, many of which they have written themselves to highlight the strengths of each player in the quartet – expect Beach Boys, Ellington, Gershwin, West Side Story and more….
The group – Amelia Lewis, Jack Myles and Ned Pettitt on tenor and Cameron Bahmaie on bass trombone – were delighted to win the 2024 Musicians’ Company Brass Ensemble Prize.
This is the last of the Friends’ three free summer concerts in the Park – come and enjoy!
