The Friends of Waterlow Park depend largely on income from subscriptions and donations to finance their work.
Funds are allocated annually to planting in the Park - to compensate for Camden's depleted contribution - and we occasionally seek grant funding for specific projects.
We are most grateful for grants from the MPGA (Metropolitan Public Gardens Association) for financing the replanting of the Victorian Sun Dial on the Tea Lawn at Lauderdale House, and Channing School, who have covered the costs of restoring the "scallop" beds on the St. Joseph's Gate path in time for our 125th Anniversary in 2016.
We also have ongoing costs - such as advertising for volunteers or events, or providing tools for our Thursday morning volunteer team - and we like to keep a reasonable reserve for emergency use.
